Pets: We don’t have a very big yard and I’m allergic to cats so unfortunately we don’t have any pets, but in summer the enormous trees in our street play home to whole packs of very noisy, playful lorikeets and cockatoos and at night it fills with bats.

Likes: Books (of course) reading, writing, music, films, bike riding, swimming in the ocean, travelling (I’ve been to Africa, America, parts of Asia, Europe and the UK) I love a good story and learning about other people and places.

Dislikes: When I hear kids don’t read, war and silly politicians, racism, intolerance, greedy people and companies and when we don’t look after the environment.

Favourite Food: Loads! I mostly eat vegetables but I also eat some fish. My partner Todd calls me a vegequarian.
