Writing is like travelling in my head and with this book I felt I was back in Venice. The perfect location to try and lure Max back to being a spy after her decision to leave at the end of Max Remy Part 6: Blue’s Revenge.

There are boat chases, bad guys, vats of ice cream and of course, lots of pasta! And Max falls for the charming Italian agent, Luca Cavello. Romance aside, Venice is in danger and Max, Linden, Toby and Luca have to figure out who is behind the threat before the world loses one of its most mysterious and magical cities.

But it got its name from prisoners being taken away and their sighs were of despair at their last sight of freedom. There are many islands in the Venice Lagoon, one called, The Isle of the Dead. And Venice is sinking! The Italian government is working to stop this but any time there is a high tide or huge storm, Venice floods. Great place for a mission...
